Sunday Namaste: Kind Traveler Rooftop Yoga | The Nest | Thompson Seattle

Join Thompson Seattle and Kind Traveler in a rooftop yoga gathering for a good cause. Start your Sunday with some namaste. On July 28th, local yogi and Kind Traveler, Ellie Huizenga, will instruct a morning yoga class on our rooftop of The Nest, featuring sweeping views of downtown Seattle and Puget Sound. (BYO yoga mat and towel!) A portion of each ticket sold will go to Kind Charity and Thompson Seattle friends Pike Place Market Foundation. After class, fuel the rest of your Sunday with brunch downstairs at Conversation - all yoga attendees are invited to join us for a complimentary mimosa with their meal at Thompson Seattle's signature all-day dining space. About Ellie Huizenga: Ellie’s passion for yoga was ignited when she studied abroad in India in 2014. She agreed to intense yoga classes 6 days a week at 7:00 am in the morning. At the time, she did not realize what a large impact yoga would have on my life for years to come. Since then, her love and passion for yoga have only grown. As a past collegiate athlete, she originally focused purely on the athletic-fit side of yoga. However, as her practice has evolved she came to really love the philosophy, grace, and positivity that stems from yoga. She continues to delve into the ways that yoga is not only good for the body but healthy for the mind. Her intention for every class is to infuse love into the room so that others can carry that love into the world. Strength and compassion are what she tries to encompass both on and off the mat. Currently, she teaches at a local Seattle studio in Eastlake, Datzastudios, both a vinyasa and yin style class. About Pike Place Market Foundation: Established in 1982, the Pike Place Market Foundation has granted more than $30 Million to provide housing, healthcare, healthy food, childcare and a community of support to our most vulnerable neighbors. As community builders in the Market they partner with, as well as operate and sustain, a network of programs and services that support low-income residents, workers, families and neighbors of the Market. For the past 36 years, The Market Foundation has contributed to a neighborhood model that allows a diverse community to live and thrive here at Seattle’s historic Market.
