FEATURED FILMS Life of Pie USA 2019 12 min Director: Ben Knight, Travis Rummel Endearing, funny, and powerful, we meet Jen and Anne who moved to a conservative tiny community town, Fruita, Colorado years ago. They are a couple of bad-ass women that shook things up there in multiple ways. They helped put the town on the map for mountain biking, and built their special restaurant, the Hot Tomato Café, where they serve the best pizza and easygoing attitudes in town. Chasing Monsters USA I 2018 I 5 min Directors: Krystle Wright, Toby Pike Australian photographer Nick Moir tears off after tornadoes, armed only with his camera. Five minutes of heart-pounding terror, with special effects by nature herself. No narration necessary, no voice but the photographer shouting, Look at it! Look at it! Look at it! One Cambodian Family Please for My Pleasure USA I 2018 I 14 min Director: A.M. Lukas A lonely Czech refugee paints an all-too-appealing picture of her American life, as she writes a letter begging an organization to send a Cambodian refugee family to resettle in her new "dreamland" hometown: Fargo, North Dakota. Eighth Wonder USA 2018 8 min Directors: Ryan Peterson Meet Erica who quit her mid-career job, which was giving her ulcers as a scientist, to become a commercial fisherman. A humorous story of her unlikely mentorship within a gang of young party dudes. Shoot in the most beautiful area and world's biggest, rowdiest salmon fishery - Bristol Bay, Alaska. The Mighty Finn USA I 2019 I 7 min Director: Fitz Cahall Awe is the feeling youre left with after watching the Sheets family as they nurture their son Finn, born missing half of his brain. Finn lives with Cerebral Palsy, the most common childhood motor disability. He will never walk or talk without assistance. The hope in the film is profound, aided by nature Are We Good Parents USA I 2018 I 9 min Director: Bola Ogun When Lauren and Bills 14-year-old daughter says shes going to her first dance with her classmate Ryan, they question their preconceived notions of her sexuality and their openness as parents. Horse Rich and Dirt Poor USA I 2019 I 16 min Director: Ben Masters, Charles Post The film follows ecologist Charles Post as he explores Americas pressing wild horse issue and the affects it has on the surrounding ecosystem, beautifully shot in Nevada. While some wild horse activists largely want their numbers unbridled, others see wild horses as a resource that needs to be managed. The Neighbor's Window USA I 2019 I 20 min Director: Marshall Curry Disgruntled with her life as a wife and mother of young children, Alli discovers that she can see into the apartment of the new neighbors, a free-spirited young couple whose lives are different from her own. A deeply provocative film that takes an unexpected turn and provides a look into our preconceived perceptions. For more information and to purchase tickets for this year's festival visit
