      EVENT DETAILS
      The Heartbreak Science Fair

This is a heartbreak themed scientifically concocted art show! Experience science through visual art, performance art, scientific installations, culinary arts, sounds, and so many other mediums! It is a potluck of science fair projects that may either blow your mind, or blow something up!

When: February 12th, and February 14th (Valentines day) between 5pm and 10pm both days

Where: The In Arts NW artists community in Capitol Hill at Olive & 17th

Please join us in your scientificly curious attendance and/or creation!

      Call to artists and scientists:

If given the opportunity to create a “Science Fair” project as an adult, what tools and mediums would you use to explore science projects?

If given the opportunity to explore “Heartbreak”, from the perspective of a “Science Fair”, what understanding or experiences would be explored?

We encourage your choice of any medium to create your own science fair project. Affordable art is a plus, so folks can buy unique locally made gifts for there loved ones. You are also encouraged to be present at the opening event to discuss your project, and explain your scientific discoveries (extra bonus points if you wear lab-coats and safety-goggles).

The In Arts NW gallery offers several hundred feet of wall-space and a theater space in the basement for a variety of art forms, including sound, performance art, culinary art, painting, photography, art installations, and any other unique form of scientific expression! Let your imagination go wild and let us know what your interests are!

All Science Fair project ideas must be submitted by January 28th, and physically delivered between January 29th and February 6th. If it's something you can only bring on the day of either event, we will need to know ahead of time to accommodate your needs. For consideration in this bittersweet showcase of sciency-goodness, please send a description, and any digital or photographic images for the proposal ASAP and by January 28st to Krista.inartsnw@gmail.com, or www.facebook.com/kristaleewolfe
