(also where I found love) Since then I have been eager to visit again - waiting for a time when I could share something meaningful, specifically with women and girls. That time has come - I am traveling back to Uganda in July of 2019 to serve with 3 organizations:  Days for Girls International, which  "increases access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating social enterprises, mobilizing volunteers, and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigmas and limitations for women and girls." // Sseko Designs, which "creates beautiful ethically made stylish fashion pieces, we provide employment and scholarship opportunities to women in Uganda who are working to pursue their dreams and overcome poverty." // S.O.U.L. Foundation, who Fosters sustainable and vibrant Ugandan communities through unique partnerships focused on education, women's empowerment, food security, and maternal health." With each of these organizations I will be facilitating The Daring Way work, based on the research and curriculum of Dr. Brené Brown, to discuss vulnerability, courage, shame-resilience, and self-compassion.
