      Sat Sept 29: 6:30pm US Festival - Local Sightings Film Festival 2019: Feature Films Celebrating key African-American elders and freedom-fighters through short films and storytelling! Stories feature the Seattle Chapter of the Black Panther Party, civil rights leader Jack ODell, a diverse chapter of local veterans, and more. Closing Night for Local Sightings is held off-site at LANGSTON (104 17th Ave South, Seattle, WA)! This screening is co-presented with LANGSTON Seattle, CD Forum (Central District Forum for Art and Ideas), and CAIR-WA! The Issue of Mr. O'Dell (Rami Katz, Vancouver, BC, 35 min) The life of Jack ODell, who once worked alongside Martin Luther King, Jr., is revealed through a conversation with the 94-year-old civil rights activist. Promises Kept: DAV Chapter 23-West Seattle (Kameko Thomas, Seattle, WA, 8 min) *Director in attendance!* The triumphs, tales, and trials of Disabled American Veterans Chapter-West Seattle the most diverse chapter in Washington State.
