      American Airpower Fly Day Featuring Women in Wartime

      American history comes to life as warbirds soar through the skies and artillery takes action. At this exciting festival you will see FHCAM's warbirds perform aerial demonstrations including the B-25, P-40, P-51, P-47, and Corsair. Be sure to get here early to catch a ground demonstration from some of FHCAM’s toughest looking tanks, vehicles, and artillery. FHCAM is excited to pay tribute to women's roles in wartime by honoring WII nurse Barbara Nichols, sharing local veteran Daniella Young's stories and offering a Q & A with local warbird pilot Nancy Robertson. If you are interested in learning more about how women contribute to the efforts of the military you will not want to miss this session! Activities throughout the day include: flight stimulation gaming, International Plastic Modelers Association, static aircraft, face painting, kids crafts, caricaturist, meet and greets with WWII Veteran Art Unruh.
