      Description:
Josh Lanza and friends sing the poems and songs of Russian bards and poets, including those of Alexander Pushkin and Vladimir Vysotsky. Description:
Explore two giants of Russian literature and music: Alexander Pushkin and Vladimir Vysotsky! Josh Lanza sings Vysotsky and sets Pushkin's poetry to pop songs of various genres. The show will include some discussion of Vysotsky and Pushkin, both in Russian and English.

Lanza is a Seattle singer and songwriter. Once upon a time he met Vladimir Vysotsky -- an iconic Russian actor, singer and songwriter -- and thus began an obsession with Russian music. Lanza will be joined by several accompanists for this program.
