      Northwest Flower & Garden Show, Feb. 5-9, 2014

      The 26th Northwest Flower & Garden Show provides imagination and inspiration with its magnificent showcase of gardens big and small; 120 free seminars; over 350 exhibitors in the Marketplace, which includes the popular Vintage Garden Market; hands-on activity area for kids; and more, February 5-9, 2014 at the Washington State Convention Center.

      This year’s theme, “Art in Bloom,” will highlight artistic renditions that complement the spectacular garden displays and other show attractions.

      For both newbie and lifelong gardeners, the show offers 120 seminars presented by a big line-up of top-tier experts, all free with admission to the show. It’s a great way to jump-start your gardening experiences, and learn about trends that not only beautify but are practical, too.

      Fun and information-packed categories include “Gardening 101, the garden-to-table cooking series, tips for beautiful and productive edible gardens, container gardening, practical skills, design+sustainability, “plant lust,” and more.

      The bustling Marketplace, which includes the popular Vintage Garden Market, is a shopping destination with over 350 exhibitors offering the hottest new tools and other quality gardening gear; hard-to-find plants, bulbs and seeds; and distinctive art and gifts for the home and garden.

      Cost: “Early Bird” online tickets can be purchased by visiting the show’s website, Prices range from $17 for adults (reg. $22 the week of the show or at the door); $15 per person for group advance purchases (minimum of 20 tickets online or at the door); $31 for single 2-day pass; $70 for single 5-day pass; and $5 for youth (ages 13 – 17). Children 12 and under are admitted free to the show.
