Marine Mammal: The Navy's Super Searchers

On Friday, September 29, the U.S. Naval Undersea Museum in Keyport, WA, will open a new exhibit about the Navy’s marine mammals. “Marine Mammals: The Navy’s Super Searchers” explores the missions Navy dolphins and sea lions perform and the science behind their remarkable abilities. Marine mammals are naturally skilled at finding objects underwater and can detect mines and intruders in a fraction of the time it takes human divers and human-made technology. Come for a visit (admission and parking are free!) and discover how the Navy’s marine mammals protect Sailors, ships and bases. For more information, visit
