      Fu Dog Dedication Ceremony

       

      Order of Ceremony

       

      PLAZA (11 am to 12 noon)

      1.       Arrival (5 minutes)

      2.       Official Welcome by BSCA President as master of ceremonies at 11:05 am (4 min)

      3.       Firecrackers  (half-minute)

      4.       Unveiling the Lions (20 minutes)

      a.       Remove cloth veil

      b.      Lion Dance and Awakening, includes

                                                                     i.      Apply cinnabars to the eyes

                                                                   ii.      Sprinkle Chrysanthemum petals

                                                                  iii.      Lion Dance

      5.       Speeches (20 minutes)

      a.       Mayor of Bellevue (history and value of Hualein Sister City relationship, thank you to the City of Hualein, and introduce Director General TECO)

      b.      Director General Andy Chin of TECO

      c.       Presentation of Flowers (and optional Gift) to the Wife of Mayor of Hualein

      d.      Wife of Mayor of Hualein

      e.      Photos

      6.       Transition to lunch (10 minutes) by BSCA President as master of ceremonies

       

      CITY HALL CONCOURSE (12 noon to 12:45 pm)

      7.       Four Seasons Choir (3 songs, Mark Chang group) – inside City Hall Concourse, 15 minutes

      8.       Lunch served (30 minutes)

       

      PLAZA (12:45 pm to 1:45 pm)

      9.       Martial Arts Performance             (10 minutes)

      10.   Seattle Chinese Orchestra, from Chinese Music and Arts Association performance, Warren Chang music director (classical)  (20 minutes)

      11.   Traditional dance or costume performers (2 groups, 20-30 minutes)

      12.   Official Close of the event by BSCA President as master of ceremonies (1 minute)

       

      Food for up to 150 people will be provided by a local Chinese restaurant.  City Hall Parking is reserved for dignitaries and vehicle loading only. Off- site parking is available in private lots across the street.
