The Courage of Care: Sustainable Compassion for All Who Serve

We live in trying times, yet we at Courage of Care firmly believe that we have the capacity to wisely, fiercely and creatively respond to the challenges before us from a radical stance of love and compassion that helps us work for and on behalf of all. Many of us are working to address various forms of pain, suffering and injustice. We are committed to supporting all who care about our world--educators, parents, social workers, medical professionals, human rights activists, eco-justice activists, caring citizens and so on--find the strength and hope to sustain in their work in life-giving ways.   Too often, those in social change work or caring professions put their care for others before their care for self. It is no surprise that we are witnessing a crisis of overwhelm and burnout among some of our most committed leaders. Our team at Courage is committed to helping all of us on the front lines change work tap into a wider, relational web of connectedness and care to support and sustain us all for the long haul.   In this workshop, we will explore Courage-based practices that help us learn to: 1) nurture ourselves and our work in more caring, sustaining and joyful ways; and 2) strengthen our sense of connection to each other and our communities in ways that can support us all.  This workshop is ideal and appropriate for all. No prior experience necessary. Please join us!
