      Avalanche & Terrain Observation Skills - Alpental

      This workshop requires Advanced Skiing/Riding skills, the completion of the Companion Rescue Course, and touring equipment (skis or split board).

      We will meet at near fire pits on the main plaza.

      The Avalanche Terrain and Observation Skills Workshop is a continuation of the Companion Rescue

      Workshop. In this workshop we will look at the complex and varied terrain of the Alpental Back bowls and discuss travel techniques and snow observation skills that will help you recognize and avoid avalanche conditions.

      We will also practice an avalanche rescue during our travels. Participants in this workshop will need to be advanced skiers or riders and have already taken the Companion Rescue

      Lift tickets or pass to be provided by the student. 

      Total time is approximately 4 hours. Group limited to 8 participants
